To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week 2017 Hertfordshire based charity The Counselling Foundation hosted a forum with their patron and local dignitary The Countess of Verulam for fifty third sector organisations.

The Foundation’s aim was to create an influential collaboration amongst local charities and establish partnerships where mental healthcare plays a particular role for service users to support as many people as possible in the areas they serve.

Becci Murtagh Head of Marketing said ‘We were delighted to see so many not for profit organisations whose service users benefit from a therapeutic service come together for our forum during mental health awareness week to talk about improving wellbeing in Hertfordshire and making a change.’

CEO Robert Cuming said ‘we were really encouraged by the fantastic turnout, this is an exciting opportunity for us to make change happen within our communities and share new initiatives on mental health’.

The forum was welcomed by attendees as a ‘fantastic opportunity to network’ create partnerships and collaborate on projects to reach our diverse communities and improve signposting for better pathways for mental health.
