Trustees Bengie Walden and Colin Bosher retire

Both Bengie Walden and Colin Bosher have recently decided to stand down from The Counselling Foundations’s trustee board. In Bengie’s case he has felt forced to make this decision for personal health reasons. In Colin’s case a house move out of our area has driven his decision.

Bengie Walden
Bengie joined The Counselling Foundation as a trustee in late 2004 and has been one of our longest serving and most experienced board members. Prior to joining the Foundation Bengie had been a consultant and chief executive at a number of major charities. That career followed a long and distinguished service as an officer in the Royal Marines where he reached senior command level and where he earned his MBE for services during the Northern Ireland troubles.Colin Bosher

Colin Bosher had joined TCF in late 2007 as the trustee attached to the St Albans centre. Colin had throughout his tenure practiced as a partner at Perrins Solicitors, a local law firm specialized in property matters and working primarily with housing association clients. Whilst Colin had made significant wider contribution to the board his experience at senior level in legal matters had been a major benefit to the board’s deliberations.
We will miss both Colin’s and Bengie’s presence on the board. Both leave with our sincerest thanks and good wishes.

Julian Gell
Chair of Trustees
