Barrie Johnston completes 2018 London Marathon
Congratulations to our marathon runner Barrie Johnston, one of 40,000 runners in Sunday’s Virgin Money London Marathon run one of the hottest on record. He completed the 26.2-mile London Marathon in 5 hours 54 mins.
Barrie was inspired to run on behalf of the Foundation after benefiting from counselling that started him on his journey to overcome anxiety and depression five years ago. Despite being the hardest physical challenge he has ever achieved, Barrie was spurred on by the number of people who will benefit from our counselling services which they would otherwise not have been able to afford.
Speaking to the Foundation’s CEO, Robert Cuming, Barrie shared how proud he was to be wearing his Counselling Foundation T-Shirt “supporting a great charity that helped me when I really needed it, so now it’s time for me to give back with the help of my sponsors”.
It’s not too late to donate on Barrie’s Virgin Money Giving page: uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BarrieJohnston1
